Professional Smart Farm Integrator & Maintenance Program

Training

Build a career as a System Integrator. Learn water and electrical infrastructure, sensor installation, network setup, preventive maintenance, and drafting annual service contracts.

Objectives

This course is designed to create a career path for participants to become full-fledged Smart Farm Technicians or System Integrators. With a strong emphasis on hands-on skills, from pipe fitting and electrical wiring to network deployment, preventive maintenance (PM), and on-site troubleshooting, enabling graduates to take on installation jobs and annual maintenance contracts for other farms professionally.

Course Modules

01

Module 1: Water & Electrical Infrastructure

  • Pipework Techniques: Evaluating water pressure, selecting PVC/PE pipe sizes, and installing Solenoid Valves with correct electrical specs (24VAC, 12VDC, 220VAC)
  • Pump Control: Wiring high-power pumps through Magnetic Contactor and Overload Relay to prevent motor burnout
  • Control Panel Wiring: Crimping standards, cable management in wire ducts, selecting residual-current breakers, and grounding systems for wet environments
02

Module 2: Sensor Installation & Troubleshooting (Sensors & RS485 Communication)

  • RS485/Modbus Standards: Running shielded/twisted pair cables for long-distance sensors to reduce electrical noise from motors or pumps
  • Field Installation: Correct placement of temperature, humidity, and light sensors, plus proper embedding of soil sensors (EC, pH, NPK) for accurate readings
  • Troubleshooting: Using multimeters to trace wire breaks, and diagnosing erratic, fluctuating, or unresponsive sensor readings
03

Module 3: Wireless Networks, Firmware & Data Management

  • Farm Wi-Fi Management: Installing outdoor Access Points, resolving dead zones, and stably connecting control units to the network
  • Firmware Updates: Flashing new programs to control boards via USB and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates when new features are released
  • Data Backup: System data backup, configuration recovery, and preventing data loss when hardware or server issues occur
04

Module 4: Annual Preventive Maintenance (PM)

  • System Inspection Checklist: Checking sun-exposed wires, ensuring terminals are tight, and cleaning valve filters
  • Sensor Calibration: Using Buffer Solution to calibrate and clean pH and EC probes for restored accuracy
  • Spare Parts Planning: Assessing equipment lifecycle and replacing components before critical failure
05

Module 5: Business Model & Service Contracts

  • Quoting & Project Assessment: Site survey techniques, Bill of Materials (BOM) cost calculation, and systematic labor quotation
  • Service Agreement: Drafting annual Maintenance Agreements (MA/SLA), defining inspection cycles, and professional communication to build client trust
